Our Readers & Writers Guild meets the third Friday of each month to hear a featured reader as well as share open mic time, peruse attendee's books for sale, and enjoy pot luck refreshments.  All are welcome!  For further information, please contact Betsy Retallack at

Featured Reader: 

Denise Frame Harlan teaches first-year writing and creative writing at Gordon College. Her essay And She Took Flour is included in The Spirit of Food: 34 Writers on Fasting and Feasting Toward God (2010 Wipf & Stock), and she is  a finalist for the 2013 VanDerMey Creative Nonfiction Prize. Denise is a 2009 graduate of the Seattle Pacific University MFA program in creative writing, which is connected to the Image Journal of The Arts and Religion.
