Mary Beechy Pfeiffer (1945-2014) was a wife, mother, grandmother, teacher, and a friend to many. She was also an accomplished photographer, leaving behind 51,009 digital photographs, a legacy of countless prints and slides, photo books, family calendars, and numerous albums. Through her photographs, Mary Pfeiffer invites the viewer into her space and to share her vision. That space was overshadowed during much of her adult life by recurrences of cancer and energy-sapping treatments. The beauty and liveliness of the photographs in this exhibition present her ever-resilient journey out of the Shadows and Into the Light.
Into the Light, the photography of Mary Beechy Pfeiffer, will be on display in the Preston Cutler Room through February 2018.
